Sport climbing: Jakob Schubert has repeated Bügeleisen sit, an 8C boulder problem located in the Maltatal, Austria.

Schubert has now raised the bar once again with his repeat of Bügeleisen Sit in the Maltatal, a beautiful alpine valley famous for its ice climbing in winter and for its sport climbing and boudlering in summer. As many will remember, Bügeleisen stand start was freed back in 2001 by Klem Loskot and graded 8B+. After making the first repeat in May 2014, Nalle Hukkataival then added the sit start to produce an 8C he defined as “one of the BEST hard boulders in the world.”
