Review by Tony Lourens
Beal’s Be Quick locking carabiner is designed specifically to go with the Birdie belay device. Not only does it come in the three different colours to match the same colours of the Birdie (very stylish!). But the carabiner is ultra light, has a flat design to easily fit through the opening of the Birdie, and its ergonomically designed locking ring, locks and unlocks in only two turns, making for swift and easy handling.
Also, very importantly, the Be Quick has a broad, round surface where the rope runs over, which is super kind to any cord if the carabiner is used for top-rope anchors or such like. And being so light, they are perfect to have on your rack for general use at belay anchors, etc.
