Hikers airlifted from Table Mountain

Three people injured during a rock fall on Table Mountain have been rescued by a military helicopter on Sunday.

Two others who were also wounded were walked to safety by mountain rescuers.

Wilderness Search and Rescue spokesperson Johan Marais said the party of fourteen hikers had been taking a guided walk through the Blinkwater Ravine when a boulder dislodged and tumbled down a hill, hitting five of the group.
