One of Britain’s finest gritstone climbers from the 70s and 80s, John Allen, was tragically killed in a climbing accident on 19 May. Allen, was famous for his many bold ascents on the gritstone in the Peak District, one of his more famous sends was the first free ascent of the classic London Wall at Millstone. Condolences to family and friends. RIP John and thank you for your excellent legacy of fine routes.
