A faint irritation disturbs the warm peaceful sleep. Getting more annoying now. Eyes open. Look at the alarm clock . . . What the #$&%*? The best sleep is always just before you have to wake up. Do I really feel like leaving this warm body next to me? Do I feel like getting cold, tired, hungry, sore, and benighted? Sometimes choices are exceedingly difficult to make, but never underestimate the scorn of a climbing partner, when you decide to remain with the warmth.
