Pete Whittaker rope solos El Cap’s Freerider all free in a day


While Ondra was projecting the Dawn Wall, Pete Whittaker rope solos El Capitan’s Freerider (VI 5.12d or 13a) all free in 20 hours, 6 minutes, becoming the first person to do it in a day; Jorg Verhoeven made the second ascent of the Dihedral Wall (VI 5.14a) and Barbara Zangerl and Jacapo Larcher made the third free ascent of Zodiac (VI 5.13d).
