STAGE 1: The Black Slab Sector – Complete
Thanks to all the people and businesses who generously contributed to the “Montagu Crag Maintenance” fund, we were able to complete stage one of our mission.
The Black Slab sector and surrounding crags at The Farm on 62 now have a bunch of awesome platforms at the base of the crags.
A huge thanks to Jason Hayden and his merry men, who did a fantastic job installing these kick ass platforms, which will make a ginormous difference to the previously horrible, steep and eroded bases.
STAGE 2: Bold and the Beautiful crag
Now we are looking at stage two: to erect similar bases along the foot of the Bold and the Beautiful crag. The fund is still open and we need more money for this next stage, so please contribute if you can – private individuals, businesses and clubs. It will be greatly appreciated by us and all climbers.
