Looking for a radical, colourful, exhilarating, challenging, but most of all, connected and inspiring weekend, the Montagu Rock Rally is where you should have been this April! From the psyched and psychedelic, to the grounded and passionate, the flowing synergy and energy of a diverse group of climbers coming together to have fun, enjoy, challenge, and connect brought the Montagu Rock Rally 2018 to life once again.
Originally started by Stuart Brown, the Montagu Rock Rally has been taking place in more or less the same format since the early 2000s. Having gone through several organisers who have picked up the baton of running the event, the Montagu Rock Rally has once again become the event of the year for any climber. Filled with many first-timers such as those who enjoyed their first time on real rock and those beating their personal bests, sharing new experiences and celebrating this beautiful sport. There were many triumphs and disappointments. Hard work, sweat, pushing oneself, encouragement, sympathy, loving, and forgiveness all played a valuable role amongst the many climbers and belayers.
